Brunel comes together with many across the UK to take a stand in Sexual abuse and sexual violence awareness week from 1 – 7 February.

Everyone should feel safe at all times and not have to put up with sexual abuse either face-to-face or online. The aim of the week is to urge people not to suffer alone in silence, but to act quickly and reach out to a friend, a family member or a local agency.

If you feel you, colleagues or students have experienced sexual violence, here's how Brunel can help:
  • If there is immediate threat to someone's personal safety, call security on 01895 255786 or the police on 999 immediately.
  • Colleagues who want to report an incident can raise do through the Dignity at Work Policy and Procedure, their line manager or HR Business Partner.
  • Students can report an incident through the Report and Support portal, their tutor or email the Student Support and Welfare Team at studentsupport@brunel.ac.uk.
